Carole King has written songs that have been recorded by some of the top names in the music industry including James Taylor, Aretha Franklin, Little Eva, Grand Funk Railroad, the Chiffons, the Shirelles and many more. Jimmy Buffett Tribute Band Just say the name Jimmy Buffett and you feel as though you have a drink in your hand and sand in your toes. His unique musical gulf coast mix of country, pop, folk, rock and jazz adds instruments and tonalities more commonly found in the Caribbean. It’s a gumbo full of steel pans, saxophones, and guitars. Buffett died on September 1, 2023, but his music lives on. This band is the premier musical tribute to Jimmy Buffett, performing over the past 20 years for thousands of Parrotheads from the lakes of Minnesota to Florida’s gulf coast. This 8-piece band includes steel drums, sax and harmonica and is a three-time Detroit Music Award nominee as “Outstanding Tribute Band”. They have made numerous appearances on the Mitch Albom syndicated radio show, had members of Buffett's band join them onstage and opened for national acts like The Marshall Tucker Band.
